Eager to get in your face, and always down for a challenge.
Selicy casts spells while flying around the battlefield, letting nothing slow her down.

Overview
Selicy is an invade focused character that boasts a powerful offense, with the ability to invade the enemy field on command with Fairfrozen while denying space with Hail Blade. This versatility means melee spells are always a threat, and can be used to consistently throw out big area of effect hitboxes at your opponent, or chained together for flashy and high damage combos. However, her telegraphed return tile means being careless with your offense can lead to ruthless punishes, balancing risk and reward.

|
- Movement Versatility: Selicy is the only character in the game with a Step built into her Weapons ( Fairfrozen), letting her invade the opponent's field at any time and opening the playing field for her.
- Good Pressure: Fairfrozen means Selicy is able to threaten her opponent even while they are in their back columns as she can use it to very quickly close the gap.
|
- Spell Reliance: Selicy's weapons are extremely slow, risky, and hard to hit on their own, meaning she is very vulnerable if she does not have the right spells in hand.
- Easily Stalled: Selicy has a severe weakness against mines, traps, and broken tiles, with these things stunting or even stopping her aggressive potential until they disappear.
- High Risk: Selicy can be very easily punished if she whiffs during her invades.

Strategy and Synergy
- Fairfrozen — Selicy uses Fairfrozen to place herself next to her opponent.
- Neutral: In neutral, Selicy wants to position herself such that Fairfrozen will bring her close to her opponent so she can then threaten to attack with a poking tool or combo starter.
- Combos: Selicy can use Fairfrozen to extend combos, as Fairfrozen casts will reset your invade actions, allowing a combination of up to two more movement or spell actions in combos.
- Defense: Stepping on the enemy field means that spells that hit only at a range will always miss. Selicy can also dodge during the start and end of Fairfrozen's dash to evade traps and punishes.
- Hail Blade — Selicy uses Hail Blade to zone opponents or as a readily available combo ender.
- Neutral: In neutral, Selicy can threaten a 3x3 area around each Hail Blade, zoning her opponent into more limited areas.
- Combos: Hail Blade is a readily available and consistent ender for many of Selicy's combos that displace her opponents to their back column.
- Defense: Selicy can stall out her opponent by throwing a Hail Blade in the opponent's front column and standing in the back to discourage her enemies from aggressive play.
- Melee Spells ( Breakout, Frost Slash, Shear, Push Slash, Crossfire) — Because of Selicy's unparalleled movement options with Fairfrozen, melee spells with their fast, wide hitboxes and high damage potential can be used as strong poking or harass tools in neutral and powerful combo enders and extenders.
- Displacing Steps ( Auto Slash, Step Lance) — Landing either Auto Slash or Step Lance will displace the opponent in a way that allows for Selicy to position herself into hitting a highly damaging spell while the opponent is still in hitstun.
- Long Anchoring Spells ( Minigun, Quadclaws, Triple Barrel, Snow Cone, etcetera) — Step Spells and invade tools cancel the anchor that spells put on you, because Selicy can invade on command with Fairfrozen she can move around while casting normally unsafe spells like the ones listed.
- Whirl — Whirl combos out of Auto Slash and Step Lance, dealing 10 damage while also allowing Selicy to extend her combos by dragging her opponent right back into Selicy's threat range.
- Vivisection — Due to its interactions with Step Spells and invade, Selicy can use Fairfrozen to exert pressure with Vivisection in unique ways. Furthermore, Vivisection will hit the tile behind the caster almost instantly, by dashing behind her opponent, Vivisection will hit for 15 damage, while also placing the opponent in enough hitstun to extend the combo.
