Introduction

This character is not present in the Character Select Screen. To select him, highlight Yugo and change his costume twice.

Fang, real name Yuuga Tsukigami, is a guest character hailing from Bloody Roar: The Fang, a manga series based on the Bloody Roar franchise. In Bloody Roar Extreme, Fang is a rekka character who is able to force his way in and deal huge damage.

While he shares some similarities with Yugo, his moveset is much more simple due to being based on Yugo's original Hyper Beast Duel incarnation, giving him a fairly easy learning curve. Like Yugo, he has a strong Command Throw in the form of his Clinch, which has multiple follow-ups. He also has Yugo's running slide, letting him get in on his opponents with ease. Fang's unique Beast Drive, Wolfgang Silver, emulates his source material and forces his opponent out of their Beast Form regardless of how much Beast Gauge they had. Overall, Fang is a simple, yet solid rushdown character with high damage output.

Playstyle
BREX icon fang.png Fang is a straightforward but very powerful rushdown character who suffocates his opponents with constant pressure that can lead to devastating damage.
Pros Cons
  • Relentless Pressure: Thanks to a wide array of forward-moving attacks, strong pressure options with his rekka series, and a rewarding Command Throw, Fang can smother his opponents with endless pressure, locking them in Heavy Guard stun or forcing them to risk eating a Guard Break.
  • Bully In Neutral: Fang's previously-mentioned bevy of forward-moving attacks means he has a very easy time forcing his way into his preferred range, allowing him to begin his rushdown on command.
  • Powerful Beast Options: Fang can present a very serious threat with his Beast options, thanks to a strong Hyperbeast Form and a unique Beast Drive that drains the opponent's Beast Gauge on hit.
  • Straightforward To A Fault: Fang's very simple design means that while his gameplan is very effective, it can also be very linear, which means that Fang has to work very hard to not be predictable on offense.
  • Naturally Impatient: Since so much of Fang's kit moves him forward, his ability to hold space and keep the opponent out is extremely limited, forcing him to push into close-range even when he might not necessarily want to be there.
  • Weak Mids: Outside of his rekka series, Fang's mids are very underwhelming, which weakens his ability to check players attempting to crouch or lay down under his highs and throws.
