The Rumble Fish 2/HUD
|1. Timer: When the time is up, the person with the most health wins the round. The timer begins at 75 seconds. Note that these are not exactly real world seconds.|
|2. Health Gauge: Every character has 400 health but varying defense modifiers. There is also a Guts system in which having lower health increases defense modifiers and lowers the damage taken. Full life is shown with a platinum blue colour. Green health bar is your first half while the yellow health bar is your second half. You lose the round when your health hits zero.|
|3. Guard Gauge: The bar that indicates how much you can block until you are guard crushed. The amount of guard gauge varies depending on the character.|
|4. Boost Dive Gauge: The bar that indicates the remaining time for the Boost Dive state.|
|5. Offensive Gauge: Meter is gained when attacking an opponent on hit or block. Meter is not gained by whiffing attacks. Used for OA, JA, AA, I-Blow, and BD. It can hold up to 3 stocks.|
|6. Defensive Gauge: DEF meter is gained by blocking and passively over time. Used for DA, IB, QR, and BD. It can hold up to 3 stocks.|
|7. Round Icons: The icons that indicate how many rounds have been won by a player. The amount of rounds can be adjusted in the game’s arcade settings.|
Character Specific Gauges
Lud’s Heat Gauge:
This meter is gained when Lud parries the opponent’s attacks. He can spend the meter to get an enhanced version of his special attacks. The gauge decreases over time if not used. Any remaining gauge will carry between rounds.
Boyd’s Scorpion Gauge:
The scorpion gauge is accumulated by hitting his 236P and 214P specials. He can hold 13 stocks total and the number will carry between rounds if unused. The gauge is consumed and powers up his OA to deal more damage. A maxed Scorpion gauge OA is incredibly damaging.
