- Flight Mode: Pet Shop has access to flight, allowing it to use its grounded normals in the air and speed up its movement options.
- Negative Edge: Pet Shop has access to a negative edge special move in "Ca-Caw! Cawww!", allowing Pet Shop to extend combos in ways that other characters cannot.
- Air Offense: Pet Shop can chain its aerial attacks, allowing it to have different combos and confirms; additionally, all of Pet Shop's special moves can also be performed in the air.
- Air Movement: Pet Shop has access to many different aerial movement options: "Flight Mode", "Gliding Attack", "Slam", "Whoosh!", "Dive", and "Aerial Dash" are all movement tools at its disposal.
Flight Mode
Despite being a Stand User, Pet Shop does not change movesets by pressing the Style button. Instead, Pet Shop can enter and exit Flight Mode, which is indicated by a blue aura around its body.
Flight Mode is governed by the Flight Gauge (a blue gauge with a feather icon located above Pet Shop's Heart Heat Gauge), which drains while Flight Mode is active; Pet Shop will automatically drop to the ground once the gauge empties, and will also be forced out of Flight Mode early upon taking damage or landing its HHA or GHA. The Flight Gauge only refills (slowly) while Pet Shop is crouching, or 'landed', requiring it to remain stationary for a period of time in order to regain any significant amount.
While in Flight Mode, Pet Shop gains complete maneuverability in midair and stops being considered grounded, making attacks aimed at its lower body miss; Pet Shop also makes use of its grounded normals while flying, and can use "Aerial Dash" infinitely (normally being limited to once per airtime). However, Pet Shop loses the ability to block, Throw, Taunt, Flash Cancel, Stylish Guard, or call an Assist while Flight Mode is active, as well as access to its air normals, "Slam", "Whoosh!", and "Dive".
