JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R/Ghiaccio/Strategy
Neutral
Ghiaccio's neutral changes drastically depending on whether he is in Stand Off or Stand On. While in Stand Off, Ghiaccio will play a bit more passively, using his 5M, 2M, and 236X to control space until he gets an advantage. He does not have too much to force his offense while in Stand Off, so this more defensive playstyle allows him to hold his ground while letting the opponent approach him. While in Stand On, Ghiaccio can either play defensively with 236M/H or offensively with his fast speed and forward-moving normals. When playing defensively, Ghiaccio is able to control a large space in front of him, although it is limited to the ground, allowing the opponent to jump over if they time it correctly. When playing offensively, Ghiaccio wants to approach the opponent and force his offense, trying to start his vortex as soon as possible. His 3H will go under most projectiles, allowing him to approach with an attack as well that can confirm into a combo. His j.M and j.H are also good air buttons for jump-ins, covering a lot of space in front and behind him respectively.
Offense
When applying pressure in Stand Off, Ghiaccio's 236X and 214X are his best friends, as they create scary strike/throw situations with a command grab that leads into a full combos. He can also poke out the opponent with 2M and 2H, allowing him to pressure from a bit of a safer distance. In Stand On, all of Ghiaccio's tools work together to allow him to provide scary pressure with plenty of opportunities to open up the opponent. His 6M and 3H are an overhead and low respectively and can be used after other lows since they are command normals, creating a scary high/low mix that can lead into full combos from either move. He can also use 236M/H to pressure the opponent if they are respecting his pressure, allowing him to either frame trap the opponent or end pressure safely.
