General Changes

  • The amount of Assault Assist Stocks carried by Support Attacks now determines the cooldown time of their Assault Assist.
  • Assault Assists will now autocorrect towards the opponent upon landing on the stage and performing their attack.
  • Adjusted the transition from hitstun to a neutral state so that characters can perform any action instead of being locked into Guard or Stylish Evade.
  • Adjusted the hurtboxes during a vertical launch state for most characters.
  • Adjusted the Hard Knockdown effect caused by hitting airborne opponents with an attack that causes the Crumple effect so that the juggle state caused cannot be overwritten by attacks without hit effects.
  • Upon attempting to use a Stylish Guard during the final recovery frame of all grounded attacks (which only allows characters to Guard or use a Stylish Evade), a Stylish Evade will now be performed.
  • Adjusted the transition into a jump state so that all characters' legs do not have hurtboxes from frame 2 onwards.
  • All Counter-based abilities, when successfully activated, will now apply damage scaling to combos starting from them, reducing damage dealt by subsequent attacks to an initial threshold of 80%.
  • Fixed a bug that would cause a character to be rendered with a black model for a brief moment if they successfully activated a Counter-based ability with an aerial attack that hits behind the opponent.
  • Implemented the following changes to the Mounted Style:
    • Adjusted the transition from Dismounted Mode to Mounted Mode (and viceversa) so that Reversal Assists, as well as attacks that cause the Launch effect, properly prevent the character from going into an airborne recovery state.
    • Quick Mount's hitbox no longer manifests if the character is hit before the Super Armor takes effect. In addition, the character will remain in Mounted Mode if they are attacked after the Super Armor runs out.
    • When hit by grounded moves that cause the Hard Knockdown effect but not the Launch effect (such as most sweeps), characters in Mounted Mode will be forced to Dismount, being left in an airborne state.
    • Characters in Mounted Mode can now be affected by Command Throws of any kind. In addition, being hit by a Normal Throw will trigger an automatic Throw Escape and force the character to Dismount, leaving them in an airborne state.

  • Scarlet Overdrive (623L/M/H/S):
    • H version:
      • Added upper-body Guard Point during startup.

  • Sendo Wave Kick (623L/M/H/S):
    • Zeppeli will now bounce backwards and enter a vulnerable animation if the move is blocked.
      • This bounce can be canceled into "Spirit Hamon Overdrive" and "Low Contact Hamon Guard".
  • Tornado Overdrive (214L/M/H/S; Air OK):
    • Increased float against airborne opponents.
    • S version:
      • Changed hit effect for the final hit (Launch > (OTG) Launch).
  • Spirit Hamon Overdrive (j.6S):
    • Reduced the rate at which the HH Gauge drains while holding the move.
  • Low Contact Hamon Guard (j.4S):
    • Now requires 0.1 HH Gauge to be used.
    • Reduced the rate at which the HH Gauge drains while holding the move.
      • Official Patch Notes state that the amount of HH Gauge required to use the move was reduced; this is false, as the move did not possess any requirements for its use before, only requiring HH Gauge to be extended.
  • Back Throw:
    • Increased recovery on a successful Back Throw to match that of Forward Throw.
  • Assist:
    • Now based on the S version (was previously based on the H version).

    • Reduced pushback on the final hit.

  • Don't you get it? (4L/M/H/S during Clacker Volley (236L/M/H/S)):
    • Removed the ability to Flash Cancel the first hit after a successful activation.
    • Changed hit effect for the first hit after a successful activation, specifically when Joseph's "Guess I did it again!" Level is at LV1 or greater (Hard Knockdown > Bind).
  • Clacker Boomerang (214L/M/H/S):
    • If the Normal versions are blocked by the opponent, the clackers will now return to Joseph, dealing damage.
    • Fixed a bug that, after holding the S button during the S version's startup, caused the Normal versions to hit twice if their respective button was held during startup.
  • This'll blow you away! (236L/M/H during This means war! (HHA)):
    • The move is now properly considered a follow-up to "This means war!", preventing it from being affected by erroneous damage scaling.

    • Fixed a bug that caused Pesci to execute the move from his original position (instead of coming back to Prosciutto) if the move was used right after Prosciutto landed from a jump.

    • All versions are now tracked by IPS.
  • Get Weather Report to make it rain. (HHA):
    • Grants a one-time enhancement to "F.F. Shot".

Other Changes

  • Implemented a "Gauge Settings" page in Training Mode's Practice Settings.
    • Added the ability to set Health percentages for both players.
    • Added the ability to set Guard Gauge percentages for both players, as well as choosing the Guard Gauge's behavior.
    • Moved "HH Gauge Settings" to the "Gauge Settings" page.
  • Fixed a bug that would allow Mounted Style characters to get out of bounds if either "Retry" or "Saved Retry Positions" were selected at the same time as the character performed a backdash while Mounted.
