Introduction

This article is about Enrico Pucci's evolved incarnation, primarily known as "Final Pucci". For information about his base incarnation, see Enrico Pucci (Whitesnake).

In order to accomplish the long-dead DIO's plan to "achieve Heaven", Enrico Pucci, the main antagonist of Stone Ocean, the sixth part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, seeks to merge with the Green Baby created from DIO's bone in order to evolve his Stand. True to his designs, Pucci must invest time and patience throughout the match, but is rewarded with new forms that alter his moveset in various ways.

At the beginning of the match, Pucci has access to Whitesnake, his initial Stand. With it, Pucci has the ability to seal the opponent’s special moves by comboing into his HHA, or through his "It's mine!" command grab. Once he has done this, Pucci can make use of his "I order you!" projectile while in Stand Off; the projectile sends opponents backwards on air hit, granting Pucci some breathing space. Alternatively, he can make use of "You shall be crucified!" as a combo extender and ender, granting Pucci a hard knockdown in the latter case; this works in his favor more than other characters, as he can spend any hard knockdown chanting the "14 Words", the key to his evolution.

Once all the words have been chanted, Pucci will gain access to his evolved Stand: C-MOON. In Stand Off, C-MOON grants Pucci access to new Heavy normals, as well as a new special move in "Be gone!"; this new move grants Pucci an effective anti-air option as well as a hard knockdown, making it a reliable combo ender. In Stand On, Pucci gains a completely new moveset that, while sacrificing the ability to seal special moves, opens the way for massive damage, which is partly the result of C-MOON's ability to cause a DOT effect; said effect is applied through its Unblockable special moves, which Pucci can utilize in conjunction with Stand Rush to ensure he can open up his opponent. Pucci also gains a counter in the form of "My body is the basis!", which launches the opponent away on activation.

The final step of the plan requires Pucci to successfully use his GHA, only available through C-MOON. Once this is done, Pucci acquires his final Stand: Made in Heaven. For the rest of the round, Pucci gains several enhancements, such as becoming much faster than his opponent. He also gains access to an extremely fast-yet-safe approach option in "Here it comes!", a deadly mixup game with his deceptive "Where is he?!" teleport, and an air projectile that doubles as a mix-up tool in "The knives!", which allows him access to very ambiguous overheads and cross-ups to overwhelm their defense.

However, all of this is offset by major drawbacks. In general, Pucci is very momentum-focused: evolving his Stand (whether by chanting the "14 Words" or using his GHA) eats up not only meter that could be used for combos, but also time that could be used for okizeme; this is particularly troubling for Pucci, as he must bide his time and options to obtain as much of an advantage over the opponent as possible. While boosted by the ability to seal the opponent's special moves, Whitesnake's kit is very limited (particularly while in Stand On), as it lacks serviceable mixup options and doesn't have many combo extenders, severely limiting Pucci's damage output. C-MOON can help Pucci make a major comeback with its improved damage and toolset, but evolving the Stand in the first place is not an easy task, and comes with mostly reduced range on its normals. For its part, Made in Heaven's strong offense and mixups are offset by its low damage output and limited nature, only being available once per match.

  • The Green Baby Gauge: Pucci is able to evolve his Stand during battle, gaining access to new moves and abilites.
  • DISCs: With Whitesnake, Pucci has the ability to steal people's DISCs, which will seal certain actions for the opponent and limit their options against him.
  • Turn you inside-out!: With C-MOON, Pucci has access to multiple attacks the opponent cannot block, which will also cause them to lose health over time.
  • Made in Heaven Mode: With Made in Heaven, Pucci can gain several advantages such as faster attacks and movement accelerated to extreme levels, granting him access to a strong win condition.
Playstyle
JJASBR Final Pucci Small Icon.png Enrico Pucci (Final) is a Stand character who invests time and resources to evolve as the battle progresses.
Pros Cons
  • Move Sealing: By comboing into his HHA, Pucci can limit the opponent's answers against him, leaving them at a severe disadvantage.
  • Snowball: With strong momentum, Pucci can evolve his Stand into C-MOON, granting him access to stronger tools, high damage and the potential to trigger Made in Heaven.
  • Good Normals: Pucci has an array of good normals at his disposal in all forms, which can be good for poking, jump-ins, air-to-airs, etc.
  • Made in Heaven: By successfully using his GHA, Pucci's Stand further evolves into Made in Heaven, which turns him into an absolute force to be reckoned with.
  • Limited Moveset: Pucci always starts matches with Whitesnake, which features a limited toolkit.
  • Meter Hungry: Evolving Pucci's Stand into C-MOON with "14 Words" requires notable meter investment, and both C-MOON and Made in Heaven always require meter investment if they want any kind of damage.
  • Learning Curve: Due to his multiple Stands and the ways each one change his moveset, Pucci has a significantly higher learning curve than most characters.
  • Low Damage: Whitesnake and Made in Heaven both have relatively low damage outputs. While the latter can get around it by spending meter, Whitesnake will not yield amazing damage even with max meter investment.
  • Allergic to Zoning: Characters that boast good projectiles or have measures against zoning will give Pucci a hard time in neutral, as using his "I order you!" projectile becomes a lot harder.

The Green Baby Gauge

JJASBR 14 Words Gauge.png

Only available with Whitesnake at Pucci's disposal, the Green Baby Gauge manifests as 14 diamonds displayed above his Heart Heat Gauge. Any successful use of "14 Words" will fill at least one diamond (which turns from light grey to purple), with Pucci being able to hold the move to fill more (albeit at a slow pace). Any diamonds already filled will carry over between rounds, and successfully filling all 14 will cause Whitesnake to evolve, turning it into C-MOON.

While the evolution is normally irreversible, C-MOON will revert to Whitesnake if Pucci is hit by Kosaku's GHA. The Green Baby Gauge will also be emptied, requiring him to fill it again in order to evolve once more.

DISCs

Only available with Whitesnake at Pucci's disposal, this mechanic grants Pucci the ability to take a Template:NotationIcon-JJASBRDISC from the opponent by hitting them with "It's mine!" or "So it was already done...". When the DISC is stolen, the opponent loses the ability to use any command normals, special moves or Style actions (except for Stand On/Off and Mounting). If the opponent attempts to use something they've been sealed out of, they temporarily get staggered.

After a DISC is taken, the effects will stay in place until the round ends, or until the opponent picks up the DISC. The opponent can make Pucci drop the DISC by hitting him, with the DISC usually ending up behind them; it can then be picked up by crouching on top of it, but Pucci is also able to pick it back up to conceal it. Being captured by a Throw and being hit by a Reversal Assist both count as Pucci being hit, making him drop the DISC. If Pucci lands a DISC-stealing move while there's a DISC somewhere on the ground, the DISC will disappear from the ground until Pucci is hit again.

Turn you inside-out!

Only available with C-MOON at Pucci's disposal, this is a status effect that is inflicted when any of C-MOON's Unblockable special moves hit the opponent. On hit, the opponent is affected by C-MOON's gravity-altering effects and will become Inverted, making them slowly lose health over time. The effect normally lasts 6 seconds (dealing roughly 97.5 damage if it runs its course) and will not go away if Pucci is hit; however, if a second Unblockable attack connects while the effect is active, it will be canceled. While active, the opponent's torso visually has blood continuously spewing out.

Made in Heaven Mode

After evolving his Stand into C-MOON and successfully using his GHA, Pucci's Stand further evolves into Made in Heaven; from this point, the round will take place in a unique, unselectable stage. While Made in Heaven is active, Pucci gains access to a new moveset, moves at almost triple his speed, his attacks become faster, gains the Aerial Chain Beat ability (allowing him to chain his aerial attacks), and his run and backdash gain the unique advantages of becoming invisible (though his hurtbox will still remain) and being able to pass through the opponent. However, Pucci's accelerated speed will return to normal upon getting hit, allowing him to be properly combo'd.

Made in Heaven Mode can only be successfully activated once per match, becoming permanently unavailable afterwards. After the round ends, Pucci begins the next round with C-MOON, his Heart Heat Gauge is emptied, and the stage will return to its original form. Additionally, if Pucci is hit by Kosaku's GHA with Made in Heaven active, Pucci's Stand will revert all the way back to Whitesnake, with the Green Baby Gauge being drained; while it is still possible to evolve into C-MOON again, Made in Heaven will remain lost due to its once-per-match rule.

Pucci spins around and flings a DISC straight forward as a projectile.

  • The only special move present across all of Pucci's evolutions.
  • The DISC's speed varies depending on the version used.
  • Launches opponents very far backwards on air hit, especially if they're already in hitstun.
  • Switching up the versions used occasionally can catch the opponent off guard.
  • While a decent projectile on its own, it will lose heavily against multi-hit projectiles (most notably Kakyoin's "Emerald Splash" and Risotto's "You can find iron anywhere in this world."), making any zoner matchup an insane uphill struggle in neutral as Pucci is essentially denied of his main neutral tool. However, against characters who lack projectiles, have a low priority projectile (such as Kosaku's "Contact Bomb"), or are deprived of their DISC, it's a pretty great zoning tool.

  • Only the second hit can be canceled into HHA, although it will not connect.
  • Not worth starting a combo with it, which can only be done with Assists.
  • The least useful variant, as it lacks the combo versatility of the L version while also lacking the OTG property of the H version.

H version:

  • Adds a second chop if the first connects; only hits once on block.
  • The first hit causes a groundbounce, while the second launches the opponent towards the floor.
  • Only the second hit can be canceled into HHA, although it will not connect.

Whitesnake swings its arm forward, and if it connects, will rip out a DISC from the opponent while throwing them to the ground.

  • The move's range increases with stronger versions, inversely affecting speed.
  • A command grab that's very fast across all versions.
  • Pucci doesn't have many threats to stop the opponent from up-backing against the grab, apart from very tight stagger pressure and dash-jump j.M.
  • Steals a DISC from the opponent. Generally outclassed by HHA in this regard, but can still prove useful from time to time. After all, stealing the opponent's DISC meterlessly is incredibly strong.
    • Cannot be used to retrieve DISCs stolen by Pucci (WS)'s HHA and GHA. In fact, attempting to do so can lead to a state where Pucci is considered to have recovered his DISC without actually having done so, preventing him from recovering it until another DISC is stolen.

24 Overhead - - - - -

C-MOON attacks with an uppercut.

  • Launches on hit.
  • Hitbox is positioned in such a way that it barely hits grounded opponents, aside from fringe examples (Stand On characters, tall characters such as Wamuu, etc.).
  • Extremely effective air-to-air, however, as it covers almost the entire space in front of and above Pucci, and is extremely rewarding on hit.

Pucci and C-MOON pose, bracing themselves for attack. If struck by the opponent, C-MOON shifts gravity to blast the opponent away.

  • Does not work against projectiles, Throws, HHAs, or GHAs.
  • Causes knockback and triggers a wallbounce on a successful activation.
  • Can be canceled into GHA on a successful activation, making it a valid GHA setup if Pucci isn't close to the wall.

Pucci and Whitesnake fly forward a moderate distance in a melee tackle. On hit, Whitesnake rapidly swipes its hand across the opponent's face, ejecting their DISC from their head, which it quickly snatches before kicking them away.

  • A great HHA in general: advances very far forward, has a very tall hitbox, will never miss in combos and the opponent will usually never be able to jump above it.
  • Pucci has invincibliity during this move, allowing it to get past Reversal Assists. This is especially important for Pucci because getting hit by such will make him drop the DISC.
  • Steals a DISC from the opponent.
    • Landing this move will automatically recover a stolen DISC, even if an opposing Pucci (Final) is concealing it.
    • Against Pucci (WS), it can be used to recover a DISC if it was stolen via his version of "It's mine!".

Pucci, using C-MOON's gravity-altering ability, attempts to float with his Stand while holding onto debris. If left uninterrupted for a few seconds, Pucci's Stand evolves into Made in Heaven, with both the Stand and its User prepared to finish the battle.

  • Can only be successfully activated once per match, with subsequent rounds disabling the move altogether.
  • Has an initial hitbox with some invincibility during startup, which launches on hit and causes hard knockdown, but cannot kill the opponent.
    • Unfortunately, the hitbox carries the same priority as a Heavy normal, meaning it can trigger normal counters despite its nature as a GHA.
  • C-MOON evolves into Made in Heaven if the move is successful. Upon evolving, Pucci's moveset changes once more, and Made in Heaven Mode is triggered.
