Introduction

One of the main party members from Stone Ocean, the sixth part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Narciso Anasui is a powerful rushdown character, his strong normals and special moves are fast and convert into high-damage combos, easy hard knockdowns, and loopable vortex pressure that can be made even stronger by incorporating his And... RELEASE! traps, in addition to having a combo starter command grab in Stand-Off and a high damage command grab with Stand-On. His Stand-Off buttons are quick and have deceptively long reach, resulting in easy hit-confirms for big damage. His Stand-On normals also have great range and are much more oppressive, leading to mixups with Dive!.

  • Weakness to zoning:: Gets slightly countered by well-timed zoning and keepaway characters, due in part to not having a projectile of any kind himself.
  • Lackluster reversal options: Anasui does have an invincible reversal in You're in Range! but this move will whiff on a crouching opponent, leaving yourself open for a huge punish.
  • Meter Hungry: very low meterless damage and struggles to create hard knockdowns off of hits when out of bar. Making getting his vortex started and his And... RELEASE! traps setup hard.
