The game, like it's predecessor, is a footsies fighter and feels somewhat "old-school", albeit less so than Akatsuki Blitzkampf with some mechanics that change up the gameplay in significant ways. However, the visuals are almost completely different from the previous games, featuring a much brighter palette, and the in-game effects and style having a lot more going on visually, with things such as camera zoom-ins and cut-in portraits during supers. This gives the game it's own visual identity, but it can be jarring coming off of Akatsuki Blitzkampf's far less flashy style. | |||
