Unlike other characters with similar power-up mechanics, Lee can make use of his own version twice, with the second use drastically improving the benefits but also increasing the risk to the maximum. Once opened, their effects are irreversible for the rest of the round.
Upon use, Lee will experience the following advantages:
- When the Gate of Rest is opened, all of Lee's attacks will deal increased damage and guard damage. To signify this, Lee's limbs will have red streaks when attacking.
- When the Gate of Life is opened, all of Lee's attacks will deal even higher damage and guard damage than with the Gate of Rest. As a tell, in addition to the red streaks, Lee's appearance will change.
- The Gate of Life will also grant Lee the following enhancements, at the cost of quickly draining Lee's health to 1:

- Several attacks become super-cancelable.
