Udonna
White Mystic Ranger

Introduction

Health: 1050
Walk Speed: 777 Forward, 325 back
Chain Rules: Magic Series

Udonna is a powerful sorceress who trains Mystic Force Power Rangers in the art of magic. As the Mystic Force White Ranger, this accomplished sorceress uses the power of snow to freeze evil.

Overview

Udonna serves as a mid-range zoner, but mainly shines as a support character. Her 5S (as well as her assist) summons an iceball that bounces along the stage, deterring ground-based approaches, while her j.S allows her to challenge anti-air-happy opponents.

Playstyle
Udonna is a mid-range zoner with big projectiles and jump attacks
Pros Cons
  • Reprint Tarmogoyf - Udonna's projectiles and big buttons give her really strong control at midscreen
  • Lingering Souls - Udonna's 5H, jH, and specials all have long animations that are great for tagout value
  • Bravely Ran Away - Udonna's has an above average backdash which allows her to easily escape pressure and get to her ideal spacing
  • Modular Routes - Udonna's combos are highly modular which allows players to easily combo from any hit
  • You Won't Block This - Udonna has strong mixup tools in flipout reset and incoming situations
  • Iceball Assist Good? - Udonna's assist can help many characters convert from otherwise impossible situations
  • Need's Friends - While Udonna has strong mixups in certain situations, she struggles to open up opponents by herself. She often needs assists to convert from her IOH tools
  • Low Caliber - Faster characters can easily move around Udonna's jS and she is weak against other zoners
  • Can't Catch Up - Udonna's forward dash is short and her plinkdash is slow. She has trouble chasing down opponents and can easily get zoned out
  • The Staff is Heavy - Udonna's normals are slow and committal across the board
  • Iceball Assist Bad? - It is difficult to kill characters off of Udonna's assist due to damage scaling

  • If the first hit is blocked, the rest of the move will not come out.

Udonna summons a snow tornado. If it hits, Udonna follows with an altered version of her 5MM.

Because Udonna steps back during startup, this EX Attack might not connect at times. Additionally, while a viable reversal due to its invicibility, Udonna's EX Attack is in the lower end when it comes to damage. To compensate for this, Udonna performs Frost Aura should it successfully connect.

Faster than EX Attack, making it a little more reliable as a reversal, but far less damaging. Forces a character switch on hit; knocks down if only one character remains.

Same animation and range as 5LL.
