Strategies

First Objective - Close the gap

Lilith has short ranged attacks & needs to be in throw range to enable her effective strike/throw tools. To do so, you need to get in. some effective tools to get in are:
  • Walk
  • Dash far st.mp, then another dash attack
  • Dash far st.mk, then another dash attack
  • Dash st.lp then a jump or another dash attack
  • Jump or Superjump to connect j.hk at max range, then dash attack when you land

Second Objective - Strike or Throw after a dashing attack

Dashing attacks connecting at close range enables Lilith's strongest RPS opportunity. As soon as you recover, you need to choose between a Throw Option Select or a cr.lk, st.mk combo. Every time d.mk connects at close range, you need to alternate between strike or throw options.
  • Here is a great example of Lilith staying in throw range and effectively using throws to enable her high damage strike game.

Tools at neural

With Lilith's movement being effective but limited, it's critical that your movement is not easily predictable. Be sure to play patiently at neutral so the opponent is not certain exactly when you choose to approach. Some effective neutral tools are:
  • TK Soul Flash, 2369+LP - when this hits you get a knockdown & can then approach for Okizeme
  • Dash dancing by micro-dashing in place. D.LP is good for this
  • Use Kara DP's to gain meter at 3/4 to full screen. 623~HK~LP
  • 8-jump ascending normal then descending normal, like 8j.hk, falling j.hp or 8j.hk, falling kara soul flash J.236~HK~PL

Ideal Advantageous Scenarios

Besides the first two objectives & effective tools at neutral. There are numerous scenarios which Lilith can make low-risk High-Reward decision, maximizing her RPS. These scenarios often create opportunities for objective 2 or go straight into other ideal advantageous scenario. These are:
  • Using Lilith's Throw OS when in the corner. When the opponent Tech's the throw, Lilith can rotate between another throw or a DP
  • When getting any air-hit while the opponent is in the corner, Lilith can walk-through for a left-right 50/50 combo into LI for big damage
  • When having the corner, jumping-in allows for numerous overheads, breaking Chicken Blocks as well as landing-Low offense for high damage + more corner control
  • When having the corner, you can Super jump to meet the opponent air-to-air to setup numerous effective outcomes like a full air string into a grounded UB, or an air-string to a J.LI as a frame trap
  • When having the corner, after Objective 2 occurs, setup a frame trap by using ES Soul Flash. This creates an amazing high damaging frame trap that zurashi and enables more offense on block. If the ES Soul Flash hits the opponent, Lilith can link a d.far lk or a cr.mk, depending on her spacing.

Mid-screen okizeme after LI

After Lilith connects a mid-screen Luminous Illusion, she can keep up an effective offense with some specific movement options. This is because she cuts the opponent in half, for an extended knockdown animation. These options are specific to each opponent, as roll distances / timings do vary. Some effective options after getting right next to the opponent's body are:
  • Super jump straight up 2~8 and descend with a very late j.hk. If this hits, you can link a d.far lk and continue to link from there.
  • Super jump up+towards 1~9 and just as you land you can do an overhead, landing low attack or landing throw. Once you get familiar with this setup, you can actually start a little further ahead of the opponent to setup a cross-up or landing low on their back side.
  • Do a pursuit as early as possible, you will whiff, but land just next to the opponent. Lilith can then use her dashes & effective walk speed to follow the opponent's wake-up choices.
